Requirements as detailed in the table above are based on a single sitting. A slightly higher tariff will be set where qualifications are achieved at two sittings.
Alternative qualifications
First level entry:
Revised HNC Mechanical Engineering (2006) and Engineering Systems (2005)* subject to achieving Maths for Engineering 2 and an 'A' in the graded unit or a pass in the revised HND Mechanical Engineering (2006) and Engineering Systems (2005)*. Applicants with other HN qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
*Revised HNC Engineering Systems - students should also have completed the optional units in Dynamics, Thermofluids and Statics and Strength of Materials
Second level entry:
Revised HND Mechanical Engineering (2006) subject to achieving Maths for Engineering 3 and an 'AB' in the graded units.
Applicants with other HN qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
