Ecosse Consortium

The ultimate goal of the Ecosse programme is better chemical processes through better design. In this context "design" encompases the whole range of activities carried out by engineers to improve the final product: in this case, the chemical plant.
Ecosse involves a consortium of groups lead by Jack Ponton at Edinburgh University Department of Chemical Engineering ; Peter Gawthrop provides input from The Centre for Systems and Control
Currently, the main Edinburgh/Glasgow theme is
- Model-based observer control. Des Costello is collaborating with Peter Gawthrop .
